About our Industrial rooftop solar with fuel save controller

Industrial rooftop solar is one of the most effective ways for factories and large commercial facilities to reduce electricity costs and utilise otherwise unused rooftop space. During normal grid operation, an on-grid solar system supplies solar-generated electricity directly to the facility’s electrical loads, reducing the amount of electricity purchased from the utility.

A conventional on-grid solar system normally shuts down during load shedding. This means that even when a factory continues operating on diesel generators during load shedding, the solar system may remain unavailable. Integrating a properly designed fuel save controller allows the solar system to operate in coordination with the running generators.

The fuel save controller continuously monitors generator loading and adjusts the output of the solar inverters accordingly. When sufficient load is available, more solar power can be utilised. If the generator load decreases, the controller reduces solar generation to maintain safe generator operation and prevent conditions such as reverse power flow or excessively low generator loading.

This arrangement allows factories to use available solar energy even during daytime grid outages while reducing the amount of diesel required by the generators. As a result, businesses can benefit from both lower electricity bills during normal grid operation and reduced fuel consumption during generator operation.

Industrial rooftop solar with fuel save control is particularly suitable for garment factories, warehouses, cold storages, food processing plants, hospitals, commercial buildings, and other facilities that operate large diesel generators during power interruptions. Facilities with significant and relatively stable daytime loads can benefit particularly well from this type of integration.

A detailed site survey and electrical assessment are essential. Each solution is designed according to actual load data, electricity consumption, generator specifications, available rooftop area, and existing electrical infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
