In the severely salinity-affected village of Ramjannagar, Shyamnagar, Satkhira, access to safe drinking water has long been a serious challenge. Many local residents traditionally depended on pond water and harvested rainwater for their daily needs. Under a client assignment, GREENFINITY served as the EPC contractor for the design and construction of a fully off-grid solar water desalination plant, converting saline water into safe, usable freshwater with clean solar energy.

With a treatment capacity of 946 litres per hour and a daily production capacity of 6,000 litres, the plant can serve around 1,200 people every day. Powered entirely by solar energy, the system operates independently of the national grid and provides a practical, sustainable solution for a climate-vulnerable community. More than a water treatment facility, the Ramjannagar project demonstrates how renewable energy and modern desalination technology can work together to improve water security, public well-being, and community resilience.
